Why sponsors and supporters are important

Nearly every community and fund raising event that we organise has associated costs; for instance the costs of putting on our Annual Fireworks display for the town typically exceeds £10,000. Even putting on on our annual Technology Tournament for young students costs in excess of £1000.

In recent years year our charity Trust Fund has typically managed to generate an annual net income of more than £40,000 which is then disbursed as donations to various charitable causes. We could not, however, achieve this without the generous support of sponsors ... both those who provide financial support and also those who support us in kind by providing essential services free of charge. You can see our annual report to the Charity Commission here.

Why not become a sponsor?

Could you use a higher profile in Berkhamsted and the surrounding area?  Would you and your staff enjoy working with us on worthwhile, inspirational and fun projects that benefit the local community or contribute to humanitarian initiatives around the world?  Do you wish to put corporate social responsibility and sustainability as core values of your brand? If so, would you consider supporting Berkhamsted Rotary?

By becoming a sponsor you can not only benefit really worthwhile causes, but we will ensure that your support receives the recognition it deserves on our websites and in our social media and publicity material. We're particularly keen to establish working partnerships with sponsors and to tap in to the skills and enthusiasm of your staff.

Some comments from sponsors

"We are proud to be associated with Berkhamsted Rotary's charitable activities. Our staff are very enthusiastic about getting involved. It's good for our social media presence ; this, and branding in leaflets and certificates, strengthens our corporate identity in Berkhamsted and more widely."

"We at FFEI have been involved with Rotary’s Technology Tournament for a number of years. As one of Dacorum’s leading hi-tech businesses, our continuing success relies upon an ability to recruit and develop employees who can tackle the complex technical challenges that we face in our fast moving business environment.”

"We are a small family run business in Berkhamsted priding ourselves on providing good service to the town. We find our support for Rotary events (the Half Marathon and Fun run and also  the School Technology Tournament) is a great way to demonstrate our commitment to the community."
